Literature Circle Reflection

My overall impression of the Literature Circles was not very fun because I get a little stage fright when I talk in front of someone because I might say something wrong.

My favourite task was the word wizard because it is not so complicated like the others because you just have to pick words on the dictionary and search the word up ctrl c then ctrl v Then put it on the slide.

The challenge I had was doing the connector because I did not know much about Basketball so I had to ask Urmi because I have only been to one game before.

The progress I saw in the conversations over time was that when we first started people did not talk much because maybe they did not want to be in this group but when I started I didn’t talk much because I get stage fright. But when we kept doing more I realized that I was talking more and other people were also talking a bit more too.

The RISE values I showed the most was resilence because when it got hard I kept on going and I didn’t give up even when it got very tricky.

From the Literature Circle tasks, I learnt That it helped me under stand books in a different way like when i was reading the book about some kids got lost in a forest. It came back to my memories when me, my dad, and my sister, and my two step sisters and their mum got lost in the forest until the middle of the night.

From holding the Literature Circle conversations, I learnt how to add on other peoples ideas and to make a longer discussion with my group that I was with.

Speed Safety and Brake Checking

Today, Jan told us to get into a group of three. I decided to choose Dayton and Beau. Then we went outside and did a science experiment about speeds and braking. We had to run slow, medium, and fast. Dayton went first because he wanted to. When he walked, he was going slowly, 10 kilometres per hour. When Dayton was medium, he was going 50 kilometres; when he went fast, he went 100 kilometres if he was in a car.

I heard that speed limits around school are safe for children, so they won’t get scared crossing the road or get hit by a car.
